Please note that due to the current coronavirus situation, we do not have any events or workshops booked over the next few months. We will be organising some online events and will post details of these as and when it is possible. Get in touch if you’re interested in helping out.
Spoonie Artists is one of the events we are looking to move online over the next 6 months. Please fill in our accessibility/technology survey and sign up to our mailing list to keep up to date with announcements!
The event Spoonie Artists is an arty-crafty meet up that is open to everyone but is primarily a space for chronically ill, disabled, neurodivergent creatives to get together, socialise, play with and make art. It takes place at least once a month in a wheelchair accessible venue.
We provide a whole host of wonderful resources and materials with which you can do as you wish, and everyone is also welcome to bring their own craft projects to get on with in a nice, friendly, social environment.
Still Ill OK coordinates the programme, so there are always craftivism opportunities and prompts to get you going!
The next Spoonie Artists meet up – when we return to in-real-life activites! – will as usual take place at our home;
The Yard Theatre
41 Old Birley Street
If you have any questions or concerns about the event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The 5-8pm time frame is a relaxed, so don’t feel stressed about getting here perfectly on time! There’s no such thing as too late, and everyone is welcome to breaks, bring their own food, sit in our quiet corner (pop-up library!)
